Kinder Middle School is preparing for its annual Louisiana Day celebration set for Friday, February 25, according to Principal Marcia Miller. She said students did a great job participating in a t-shirt design contest. Cole Ogea drew the winning picture, which was used for the school’s t-shirts. T-shirt orders were completed last week and will be ready for the school’s annual Louisiana Day. The event will feature egg and spoon races, a chicken run, Mardi Gras bead toss parade, a King Cake Walk and line dancing with “D.J. Z” (Zach Fontenot). In the classrooms, students will participate in activities related to math and reading, as well as take Mardi Gras pictures. “We are looking forward to a great day with our students,” Miller said.
