The Village of Reeves held a special meeting on Monday, May 17, at 6 p.m. to discuss a police department matter which ended in a probation period for one of its officers.
After opening the meeting, Councilman Glenn Durchame motioned to go into executive session to discuss police personnel. The motion received a second from Councilman Randall Credeur.
After almost an hour behind closed doors, the board returned to the meeting. At that time Councilman Scott Jeffcoat made a motion to accept the recommendation of Police Chief Waylin Bertrand to place Assistant Police Chief Kevin Doise on a six-month probationary period.
No other business was handled at the meeting.
