If you served your country, Kinder residents were ready to serve you Saturday morning, November 7, at the fire department.
Eric Kuyper, commander of Nevils Post 244 American Legion Hall in Kinder, said over 50 members attended the event Saturday. He thanked everyone who assisted by volunteering and/or donating items.
“Over the last six years we have had 310 guests and 124 vets,” he told the Kinder Council after the event was held. “This year we had 82 veterans. It’s just getting better.”
Kuyper said he is already looking forward to the seventh event next year. He said they are planning several fund raisers throughout the year to support next year’s event.
