REEVES – The community of Reeves will combine its Community Gumbo and Christmas in the Park because Hurricane Laura caused extensive damage to the village’s park located next to the village hall.
Mayor Chris Guillory and the council noted both events held in December each year would be organized and held at the Ward Three Recreation Park at 6 p.m. for all residents of Reeves.
In new business, the mayor noted the village would be ready soon to apply for a CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) grant for sewer rehabilitation including new pumps, etc.
The council held a public meeting to discuss financials. No comments were made. The council also approved its minutes for October and accepted its financial report.
