Branden Rannekleiv of Reeves walked away with the first place win at the Big Bass Splash fishing tournament held at Lake Toledo Bend July 10, to July 12. Rannekleiv weighed in a 12.41 on the second day of the tournament to take the win. He took home a Triton 19 TrX powered by Mercury equipped with Minn Kota, Lowrance, Navionics and Power Pole, a Dodge Ram Truck and $7,000 in addition to his hourly winnings. The top 5 overall winners were Rannekleiv, first; Ben Abraham of Woodworth, second; Michael Mitchell of Lake Charles, third; Jason Webre of Vacherie, fourth; and Justin Peterson of Shreveport, fifth. 13th Ty Haymon of Oakdale won $300 in the 11-12 hour of the tournament on Sunday.
