Allen Parish School Board released an update regarding all the parish schools graduation schedule. Elizabeth High School will hold graduation ceremonies on Monday, June 15, Fairview and Oberlin High Schools will be held on Tuesday, June 16, Kinder and Oakdale High Schools will be held on Thursday June, 18 and Reeves High School will be held on Monday June 22.
They set the back-up dates to be the week of July 6-10. This plan is in case the statewide shut down is not lifted.
APSB also released a statement announcing that the Oakdale school based health center services are still available to students.
They released the following statement, “We would like all parents to know the Oakdale School-Based Healther Center will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. until noon starting April 27. We will be offering medical and counseling appointments via telemedicine or telephone (if patients do not have smartphones or computer access.) Please call our Health Center at 318-215-1413.
They said office personnel will also be available by phone on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning to make appointments, print shot records and to answer any questions that students and parents may have. They also plan to offer future vaccine “drive-up” clinics where students can receive their vaccines in their vehicles. The center carries vaccines for children including vaccines for students who are covered by private insurances such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Health Care.
