PUBLIC HEARING
Allen Parish
Police Jury, Louisiana
The Allen Parish Police Jury will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on November 6, 2023 at the Allen Parish Courthouse located at 602 Court Street, Oberlin, LA. The purpose of the meeting is to obtain views on the housing and community development needs of the Allen Parish Police Jury and to discuss the submission of an application for funding under the State of Louisiana FY 2024/2025 Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) Program. The following items will be discussed at the hearing:
A. The amount of funds available for proposed community development and housing activities;
B. The range of activities available that may be undertaken, including the estimated amount of funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate incomes;
C. The plans of the Allen Parish Police Jury for minimizing displaced persons as a result of activities assisted with such funds and the benefits to be provided by the Allen Parish Police Jury to persons actually displaced as a result of such activities; and,
D. The Allen Parish Police Jury past performance on LCDBG projects funded by the State of Louisiana.
All residents, particularly those of low and moderate income and residents of slum and blighted areas of the Allen Parish Police Jury are encouraged to attend this meeting.
Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and/or limited English proficiency provided that three (3) days’ notice are received by the Allen Parish Police Jury.
Those citizens unable to attend this hearing may submit their views and proposals until November 6, 2023 in writing to:

Allen Parish Ambulance Service Board of Directors met for monthly meeting at the Allen Parish Ambulance Service Office on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 4:30p.m.
Chairman Keys called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
Members Present: Lowell Keys, Al Ritter, Clarice Papillion and Chuck Welch.
Members Absent: Sarah Ryland
Motion by Ritter, seconded by Welch to approve and dispense with the reading of the minutes from the August 8, 2023 board meeting. Motion passed.

Motion by Papillion, seconded by Welch to approve the Change Order on New Ambulance. Motion passed.
Motion by Ritter, seconded by Papillion to approve Bereavement Leave. Motion passed.
Motion by Welch, seconded by Papillion to approve (7) Board Write Offs in the amount of $4,220.35. Motion passed.
Executive Director Boulet gave the Fleet Report and Financial Report. Boulet discussed financials and reviewed budget variances with the Board.

Minutes of the previous meeting of the Kinder Drainage District No. 3 held at the Farm Bureau office in Kinder, LA on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.
The following commissioners were present: Kurt Unkel, Lane Manuel, Thomas Mayes, Norman Fontenot and Roger Young.
Motion was made by Norman Fontenot, seconded by Roger young and passed to dispense with the reading of the minutes.

New Business: Mitchell Sittig with Man Co Vegetation presented a proposal for spraying ditches. Motion was made by Thomas Mayes, seconded by Lane Manuel and passed to accept proposal.
Motion was made, seconded and passed to pay bills for the month.
