Kinder Rotarians gathered on Tuesday, August 15, for installation of officers and recognition of other club members.
Landon Smith will serve as president of the organization. He took the oath of office from Doug Hebert Jr.
Outgoing president, Sarah Doolittle Rand, was recognized for her service as president from 2020 to 2023. During her term as president, over $7K was raised in grant scholarships for the community.
The new officers for the club for the year of 2023-24 included Landon Smith, president; Kevin Fontenot, vice president; Jacob LaCour, secretary/treasurer; and Kimberly Hope Caldarera, public relations.
The directors will be Dr. Mike Karam, Don Charles Wilhelmi, Lowell Keys, Doug Hebert Jr. and James Nelson.
Rotarians recognized its four avenues of service. Community Service has Jacob LaCour, chairman; Kevin Fontenot, Barbara Savant, Landon Smith and Kimbery Caldarera.
Club Service consists of Kevin Fontenot, chairman; Mike Karam, Jacob LaCour, Matt Courville and Bill Storer.
Barbara Savant and Don Charles Wilhelmi head up membership.
Doug Hebert Jr. and Don Charles Wilhelmi have attendance.
Scholarships will consist of Don Charles Wilhelmi, chairman; Lawrence Moncla and Kevin Tyler.
Fund raising/golf tournament will consist of Matt Courville, chairman; Mike Karam, Doug Hebert, Barbara Savant and Kent Andrews.
Grant writing will be Sarah Doolittle Rand and Barbara Savant as co-chairpersons.
Club bulletin will be Kimberly Caldarera and Mary Bishop, co-chairpersons.
Vocational services will consist of Richard Stokes, chairman; James Nelson and Joe Green.
International Service will include James Nelson, chairman, and Lowell Keys
