Despite several phone calls made to the district manager and headquarters of Family Dollar Store, the Kinder Courier could not confirm the specifics about the new store in Reeves, located on U.S. Highway 190, next to the police station. From information received, the Courier has learned the location will house two stores, The Family Dollar Store and The Dollar Tree, both owned by Dollar Tree as of 2015. The combination store will feature elements of both stores. Community leaders believe the store should open in late April. At this time, the final steps of the construction process are underway.
