Seismic Public Meeting Notice
To the Citizens and Landowners of Allen Parish, Louisiana
Paragon Geophysical will be conducting a 67 square-mile 4D seismic survey, as well as a 55 linear-mile 2D seismic survey in portions of Townships 2S, 3S, and 4S, Ranges 4W and 5W. The surveys are tentatively scheduled to begin in March of 2025 and last until the end of July 2025.
The surveys require the deployment of motion sensing devices (geophones or receivers), which would be set at regular intervals along the receiver lines, and each project will incorporate a Vibroseis energy source (Vibrator trucks) on existing roads and trails. For the 2D seismic survey, source and receiver points would be located along the same lines, rather than in a grid pattern, with receivers and source points placed at intervals of 82.5 feet along the lines. For the 4D seismic survey, receivers would be placed at intervals of 82.5 feet along lines spaced 495 feet apart, and Vibroseis points would be spaced at intervals of 41.25 feet along existing roads and trails within the project area.
Existing trails, rights-of-way, and roads will be used to gain access to interior areas to the extent possible during all phases of operations; however, there will be off-road UTV travel along receiver lines for surveying operations and deployment and retrieval of recording equipment. Presence in any given area will be brief. No permanent access, structures, or features would result. All impacts would be minimal, temporary, and localized to source and receiver lines.
To provide the public with additional information regarding the seismic survey, Paragon Geophysical and LDWF will hold a public meeting at 6:00 pm on January 13, 2025. The meeting will be held at the Allen Parish Police Jury Building, 602 Court Street, Oberlin, LA 70655.

November 19, 2024

The meeting was called to order by President Logan Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. He led the Board in prayer and Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
Katrena motioned to accept the previous meeting minutes as read and Reggie seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Adam spoke with Southwest Generator, Cummins estimated delivery date for Well 3 generator is December first. Original quote given is still acceptable. The old generator will go to auction.
The land purchase next to Little Mill booster site is complete.
The small discrepancies found in the Sanitary Survey have been resolved.
Well 4 sanitary seal and Well 5 had some corrosion, both have been addressed and painted. Check valve, pressure gauge and a couple of mesh screens were also addressed. The report will need to be sent in to show completion of everything in the Sanitary Survey.
The Board reviewed & discussed the Financial Report. Gary made a motion to accept the Report and pay all bills submitted and Katrena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Adam reported on the water system. The state came to resample Well 5 which was testing high in Manganese levels. We haven’t received the results of that yet.
Adam reminded the Board if they haven’t turned in their Ethics/Preventing Sexual Harassment training certificates that they need to do so before the end of December.
He also informed the Board that the Water District hired Chaumont Construction to help in repairing a leak at the Casino. The job is set for December 2, 2024.
Gary made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m. and Reggie seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Allen Parish Ambulance Service Board of Directors met for monthly meeting at the Allen Parish Ambulance Service Office on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 4:30p.m.

Absent: Sarah Ryland
Chairman Ritter called the meeting to order promptly at 4:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
Motion by Welch, seconded by Gundy to approve and dispense with the reading of the minutes from the October 8, 2024 board meeting. Motion passed.

Motion by Welch, seconded by Grundy to approve (2) board Write Offs in the amount of $427.41. Motion passed.
Motion by Grundy, seconded by Doise to submit (8) bad debt accounts to collections in the amount of $16,398.37. Motion passed.
Executive Director Istre gave the Fleet Report and Financial Report. Istre discussed financials and reviewed budget variances with the Board.
