The 2024 Allen Parish pageants will be held at the Allen Parish Civic Center in Oberlin on September 7.
Lexie Noelle Sonnier, 2023 Miss Allen Parish, will be crowning her successor and saying goodbye to a title that has produced a year full of memories she will carry with her into the future.
“As my reign over Allen Parish and the Allen Parish Fair Association, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has played a part in this amazing year.,” she said. “Traveling throughout the parish and state has taught me so much about our beautiful heritage in each parish and festival. Getting to represent this parish was an opportunity that I will never take for granted. All of the smiles, people, and each event I attended, I will hold very near and dear to my heart forever. Thank you again for an amazing year Allen Parish.”
Sonnier is the daughter of Byron and Charity Sonnier. She is a 2023 graduate of Kinder High.. Her future plans are to graduate from McNeese as a registered labor and delivery nurse. She is the granddaughter of Mona Ortego and the late Jimmy Ortego and the late Foster and Esther Sonnier.
As she says goodbye, Sonnier was asked?
What was your favorite moment as a queen? A. “Taking pictures with all the kiddos at the fair.”
What is one of your favorite events you attended? A. “My favorite event I attended was The Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast.”
Who was your best traveling partner? A. “My best travel partner is my mom!”
What was the farthest place you traveled to? A. “The farthest place I’ve traveled to was the Gueydan Duck Festival.
