LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (LDEQ)
LOUISIANA REGIONAL LANDFILL CO. / TIMBERLANE LANDFILL
DRAFT SOLID WASTE PERMIT RENEWAL
The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, has determined that a Draft Solid Waste Permit and Technically Complete Solid Waste permit application for Louisiana Regional Landfill Co – Timberlane Landfill, PO Box 598 Oakdale, Louisiana 71463 for the Type I Industrial/Type II Residential & Commercial/Type III Construction & Demolition Debris and Woodwaste Landfill and Type I/II Surface Impoundment is technically complete and acceptable for public review. The facility is located at 1158 Landfill Road in Oakdale, Allen Parish.
Louisiana Regional Landfill Co., Timberlane Landfill proposes to dispose up to 6,000 wet tons per week and 312,000 wet tons per year of residential waste, 7,500 wet tons per week and 390,000 wet tons per year of industrial waste, and 1,050 wet tons per week and 54,600 wet tons per year of Construction and Demolition Debris, woodwaste, and other waste from generators within and outside of Louisiana.
Comments and requests for a public hearing or notification of the final decision can be submitted online on the public notice webpage (http://www.deq.louisiana.gov/public-notices), via personal delivery, U.S. mail, or email. Comments and requests for public hearings must be received by 4:30 pm CDT, Thursday, July 11, 2024. Delivery may be made to the drop-box at 602 N. 5th St., Baton Rouge, LA 70802. U.S. Mail may be sent to LDEQ, Public Participation Group, P.O. Box 4313, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-4313, and emails may be submitted to DEQ.PUBLICNOTICES@LA.GOV. Persons wishing to receive notice of the final permit action must include a complete mailing address when submitting comments.

If LDEQ finds a significant degree of public interest, a public hearing will be held. LDEQ will send notification of the final permit decision to the applicant and to each person who has submitted written comments or a written request for notification of the final decision.
The technically complete major modification application and draft permit documents available for review are available for review at the LDEQ Public Records Center, 602 North 5th Street, Baton Rouge, LA. Viewing hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). The available information can also be accessed electronically on the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) on the DEQ public website at www.deq.louisiana.gov.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Oakdale will hold an amended budget hearing (Fiscal year ended June 30, 2024) on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 9:30AM to be held at City Hall in Oakdale Louisiana. The City Council will consider for adoption Ordinance 1522 (AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 TO INCLUDE CAPITAL PROJECTS AND LCDBF FUNDS). The purpose of the hearing is to invite public comment and participation in the budget process.
