Bona fide bidders may obtain a CD of the proposed contract documents in PDF format, including plans and specifications, from King Architects, Inc. at 1312 Sampson St., Westlake, LA 70669 for $25.00 per each set of documents on CD. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check or cashier’s check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or the Bid Bond Form contained in the bidding documents, which shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best’s Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent (10%) of policyholders’ surplus as shown in the A.M. Best’s Key Rating Guide or by an insurance company in good standing licensed to write bid bonds which is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents, all in accordance with LSA-R.S. 38:2218. No Bid Bond indicating an obligation of less than five percent (5%) by any method is acceptable.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with an A.M. The Town of Kinder will conduct a proposed budget hearing on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Fred A. Ashy Municipal Building, 333 8th St., Kinder, Louisiana. The Council will consider for final adoption Ordinance No. 882 officially adopting the PROPOSED BUDGET for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The purpose of the hearing is to invite public comment and participation in the Town budget process.
The following report is a summary only. Detailed budget statements are available and on file for public inspection at City Hall. Interested persons may examine budget documents between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday thru Thursday and between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Friday.
