Laissez les bon temps rouler!
Veterans of the American Legion Post 144 in Oberlin held their Third Annual Mardi Gras Dance and Jam Session Saturday, February 3rd. People came from everywhere to pass a good time, according to organizers. There was a silent auction and raffle prizes donated by local residents, businesses and artists, given away during the evening.
The amazing volunteers for this event included Jamie Landry, Camron Langley, Anthony (T.) Manuel, Sandy Manuel, Austin Warren, Gisela Burnett, Tonya Ryder, Pauline Boudreaux, Rod Rodrigue and Lawerence Rasberry.
An enormous pot of jambalaya was provided by Chad Peloquin for the third year in a row. Music was provided by Kajun Koozans, Terry Paul Boudreaux, Paul Courville, Lane Patrick, David Binder, Zack Fontenot, Kevin Naquin, Cricket Townsley and Justin Reeves. They kept everyone dancing and toe tapping!
The American Legion Post 144 would like to send their gratitude to everyone who made this event possible as well as those who attended.
