Last month’s report saw the red figures at a minimal but July’s report showed collections are not increasing quickly.
The parish saw small deficits in its collections for Kinder (-0.25 percent – $136.06), Oberlin (-8.82 percent – $1,468.61), Elizabeth (-29.20 percent – $2,482.25), Oakdale (-1.40 percent – $1,738.11), Town of Kinder Library/Sewage (-0.25 percent – $40.80), Allen Parish Occupancy Tax (-43.62 percent – $2,333.17), Allen Parish Tourist Commission (-43.62 percent – $6,999.53) and Reeves (-28.82 percent – $1,681.78) when comparing the month-to-month collections.
The school board’s three accounts and sheriff’s district all saw increases of 17.94 to 17.97 percent in the month-to-month comparisons.
The year-to-date comparisons followed the monthly comparisons with only the school board and sheriff district’s accounts showing increases (6.65 to 6.67 percent). the rest of the taxing districts saw decreases.
