The Allen Parish Fair Pageant will expand its pageant with divisions for boys, from newborn to three years old, and for girls, from newborns to 22 years in age.
The pageant board is excited about its growing court, and the pageant is set for Saturday, September 9. Entry fees will be $50 for photogenic, $5 for score sheets and $5 for the following divisions:
Boys
•Tiny King Master Allen Parish (0-23 months)
•Master King Allen Parish (2-3 years)
Girls
•Baby Miss Allen Parish (0-11 months)
•Tiny Miss Allen Parish (12-23 months)
•Toddler Miss Allen Parish (2-3 years)
•Petite Miss Allen Parish (4-5 years)
•Little Miss Allen Parish (6-8 years)
•Deb Miss Allen Parish (9-12 years)
•Ms. Allen Parish (22 years – single, married or divorced)
These pageants will be held in conjunction with the traditional pageants – Jr. and Miss divisions (which are open to Allen Parish residents only).
Deadline to accept fees/forms will be August 18. All fees are non-refundable after payment registration is completed on August 19. Make money orders or checks out to the Allen Parish Fair Associates. Mail them to Equilla Victorian, 1186 Buck Bowles Road, Oberlin, La. 70655.
These kings and queens will be introduced at the Miss Allen Parish Pageant, Rodeo and Allen Parish Fair ribbon cutting ceremonies. They will ride the Allen Parish Fair float in the fair’s parade. Parents will have to sign a waiver. Younger kings and queens will have to have a parent ride the float with them. Kings and queens will have to provide one poster with title and throws.
Attire for the pageant will be Sunday best, newborn through eight years of age. Age appropriate hair and makeup will be acceptable but no glitz. Pageant wear will be worn by those nine years of age and older.
Participants, newborn to eight years of age, can begin lineup at 8:30 a.m. on September 9. Competition begins at 9:30 a.m.
Those between nine and through Ms. competition will lineup beginning at 11 a.m. with the pageant starting at 12:30 p.m.
For all of these pageants, if you’re not in line when your division lineup is ready to compete, the pageant will continue without you. No refunds will be given.

Jr. and Miss
The Jr. and Miss Allen Parish pageants are open to all Allen Parish residents. The Jr. category is for 13-15 years old, and the Miss is 16 to 21 years of age. These two divisions will meet Monday, July 10, at 6 p.m. at the Allen Parish Civic Center, Oberlin. For entry fees and more information, call Victorian (337-977-1382).
