Sheriff Doug Hebert, Allen Parish, said his office was responsible for narcotics recovered recently in Oberlin and Oakdale.
Prudhomme
In Oberlin, narcotic officers with the sheriff’s office received information suggesting illegal narcotics were being sold out of the Applewood Apartments in Oberlin. During the investigation, detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the apartment occupied by Laura Prudhomme, 40, a white female, of Oberlin, on Tuesday, March 8.
Detectives allegedly located 16 grams of methamphetamine, 30 Adderall, 25 Suboxone strips, Hydrocodone pills, THC gummies and LSD tablets, according to the sheriff’s news release. Prudhomme was booked into the Allen Parish Detention Center by the narcotics team on the following charges:
•Possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substance) – Schedule I
•Possession drug paraphernalia
•Manufacture / distribution of CDS – Schedule II
•Possession of CDS – Schedule II with intent to distribute
•Possession of CDS – Schedule II
•Possession of CDS – Schedule II
•Possession of CDS – Schedule III
•Possession of CDS – Schedule I
Her bond was set at $61,000.
Solomon
On Wednesday, March 16, the sheriff’s narcotics team with the assistance of the Oakdale Police Department conducted an investigation on a residence in Oakdale.
Detectives with the Allen Parish Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant for the residence located on East Dixie Street, Sheriff Hebert said. Detectives allegedly located 54.1 grams of methamphetamine and 13.4 grams of synthetic marijuana, according to the sheriff.
As a result detectives arrested Michael Solomon, a white male, 38, Glenmora, for resisting arrest and obstruction of justice for attempting to destroy evidence. Solomon was booked into the Allen Parish Detention Center.
Solomon’s charges included:
•Manufacture / distribution of CDS – Schedule II
•Possession of CDS – Schedule I
•Possession of CDS – Schedule III
•Resisting an officer
•Obstruction of justice
•Possession drug paraphernalia
