Two area men having been arrested and charged in regards to gunfire after the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into two complaints.
On Sunday, February 13, 2022, Sheriff Doug Hebert III said his office received a 911 call in reference to a shooting on Botley Cemetery Road in the Kinder area. While deputies were responding to the area, the sheriff’s office received additional 911 calls about a separate, active shooting incident on Martin Luther King Drive in Oberlin.
Witnesses provided information that the two suspects, Jordon Harmon of Kinder, and James Robinson III of Oberlin, had exchanged gunfire amongst one another at both locations, according to the investigation. Further information revealed a female at the Kinder incident was in fear of her life prior to an exchange of gunfire.
Sheriff Hebert said detectives with his office obtained warrants for Harmon and Robinson.
Kinder’s Harmon was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, criminal damage to property and illegal use of weapons.
Oberlin’s Robinson was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, criminal damage to property and illegal use of weapons.
The sheriff said both individuals were arrested and booked into the Allen Parish Jail on the active warrants.
