Harris convicted on obscenity in district court

Posted on February 24, 2022

Allen Parish District Attorney Joe Green announced Wednesday, February 16, that after a two-day jury trial before a six person jury composed of Allen Parish citizens, Isaac Harris III of Oakdale was convicted of obscenity.
Green commended the actions of those concerned citizens who came forward to report that Harris was exposing himself to patrons of a local business.
“Instead of turning their heads, these individuals stood up – not only for themselves, but for our communities and families,” said Green. “Their actions helped ensure Harris was brought to justice.”
Judge Judi Abrusley presided over the trial and Assistant District Attorneys John Richardson and La’Ketha Holmes presented the State of Louisiana’s case.
Sentencing will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, where Harris may be subject to sentence enhancements due to his prior felony convictions.
