A host of local beauties were crowned as Oakdale royalty Saturday, July 31, during pageantry festivities held at the Oakdale High School auditorium.
During the evening pageant, the 2021 Miss Oakdale title was bestowed on Natalie Cope, daughter of Jessica and Steven Cope. Her first runner-up was Kaydin Strother.
Miss Teen is Ainslie Willis, daughter of Hayden and Joey Willis.
The newly crowned Jr. Miss title went to Maedan Doyle, daughter of Meghan and Justin Doyle. Runner-up was Maurie G. Dickey. The other contestant in the contest was Amiya White.
In the Deb Miss contest, Gabriella Unruh, daughter of Tiffany Cormier, walked away with the honors. Her first runner-up was Laney Taylor.
The younger contests were held in the morning. Winners were:
•Baby Miss (0-11 months) was Madelynn Russo.
•Toddler Miss (12-23 months) was Tiona Pinkston.
•Tiny Miss (2-3 years in age) was Miss Bristol Allen.
•Petite Miss (4-6 years in age) was Olivia Leger.
•Little Miss (7-9 years in age) was Carleigh Bush.
Hosted by the Oakdale (BPW) Business of Professional Women and Oakdale High School, the pageant director was Kalee Stanley. Co-directors were Jessica Felice and Danee Stanley.
The group extended thanks to Oakdale High School, the Oakdale Police Department, Front Porch Designs and Doe and Fawn Handmade.
Winners and first runners-up in the Miss and Jr. Miss categories will be eligible to compete in the Miss Allen Parish pageant, scheduled for Saturday, August 28, in Oberlin.
