Funding for different items under the direction of The Allen Action Agency Inc. continue to arrive in the parish.
The newest funds awarded under Phase 38 in the amount of $9,713 originate from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program to assist Allen Parish residents.
A national board that is chaired by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency made the selection. The board distributes funds appropriated by Congress to help expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high-need areas across the country.
The Allen Action Agency United Way Board will determine how the funds will be spent.
