The Oberlin Police Department and Allen Parish Sheirff’s Office (APSO) are looking into a shooting in Oberlin which occurred between 2 and 3 p.m. Friday, November 27.
“We are assisting the Oberlin Police Department with this investigation,” Hebert said.
APSO Detective Matt Hebert said the victim was shot while crawfishing in a roadside ditch. It was not a serious injury and not life-threatening. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Hebert said detectives are following all leads. The suspect is unknown at this time. If anyone has information on the incident, they are urged to call the APSO or the Oberlin Police Department.
