Wednesday, November 11, Chad Doyle was sworn in as Oakdale’s chief of police by Oakdale Judge Judy Abrusely.
Doyle, who previously served as city marshal for approximately 10 years, received 70 percent (1,310 votes) of the voter turnout on Tuesday, November 11, to win the police chief position in Oakdale. His opponent, Bryan Hargrove received 30 percent (568) of the votes.
Doyle replaces interim chief Scotty LaBorde, who was appointed to the office after Joseph Lockett was indited in June of 2019.
He plans to busy himself with creating a well-trained police department, updating the SOP (standard of operations and procedures) among his daily duties as police chief.
