Early voting for the December 5th, Open General/Congressional/Republican State Central Committee (RSCC) Election will begin Friday, November 20, and end Saturday, November 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Allen Parish Registrar of Voters’ Office.
There will be no voting on Sunday, November 22; Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving); and Friday, November 27 (Acadian Day).
The deadline to request an absentee by mail ballot is December 1. The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted mail ballot is December 4.
All voters across the parish will choose a district judge between Judi Abrusley, #72, and Chad Guidry, #73.
Voters in the parish will see wording for CA NO. 1 (ACT 10, 2nd ES – SB 44), which will allow out-of-state resident to serve on a public postsecondary education board of supervisors.
The rest of the ballot will depend on what district a voter resides in. Voters could see one or more of the following on their ballot:
•School District Ward One – 14.22 Mills Continuation – SB – 10 years.
•School District No. 1 – 24.66 Mills Renewal – SB – 10 years.
•School District No. 4 – 12.07 Mills Renewal – SB – 10 years.
•School District No. 5 – 12.63 Mills Renewal – SB – 10 years.
•Fire Protection District No. 2 – 9 Mills Renewal – BOC – 10 years.
