The Allen Parish sales tax report showed a slight decrease in collections.
Only three entities showed increases for the month of August 2020. Allen Parish School Board number one and two collected $432,146.37 in August of 2019 and $438,433.04 in August of 2020. This is an increase of $6,286.67 or 1.45 percent.
The Town of Oberlin collected $16,109.17 in August 2019 and $16,197.90. This was an increase of $88.73 or 0.55 percent.
The Allen Parish Sheriff District collected $218,065.60 in August 2020 and $219,299.69 in 2019. This was an increase of $1,234.09 or 0.57 percent.
All other entities showed a decrease for the month, meanwhile for the year there is still an increase in collections compared to this time last year.
Allen Parish School Board number three collected $219,557.38 in 2019 and collected $219,299.69 in August 2020 for a slight decrease of $257.69 or 0.12 percent.
The Allen Parish Police Jury collections decreased $180.33 or 0.12 percent from $153,690.61 in 2019 to $153,510.28 this year.
The Town of Kinder collected $47,311.51 in August of 2019. This is a decrease of $5,157.45 or 10.90 percent from August 2020 collections of $42,154.06.
The Village of Elizabeth collected collected $9,121.67 this year compared to last year’s $7,553.44. This was a decrease of $1,568.23 or 17.19 percent.
The City of Oakdale saw a decrease of $13,528.84 or 11.23 in August 2020 collections. They collected $106,898.63 this year compared to last year’s $120,427.47.
The Town of Kinder Library/Sewerage collected $14,193.44 last year compared to this year’s $12,646.31. This is a decrease of $1,547.13 or 10.90 percent.
The Allen Parish Occupancy Tax collected $5,727.60 in August of 2019 and $2,435.22 for August 2020. This was a decrease of $3,292.38 or 57.48 percent.
The Allen Parish Tourist Commission collected $17,182.73 last year compared to the $7,305.67 collected this year. This was a decrease of $9,877.06 or 57.48 percent.
The Village of Reeves saw a decrease of $1,404.13 or 33.21 percent. They collected $4,227.45 last year compared to this years $2,823.32.
