On Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22 the OPD received calls that someone was attempting to steal a person’s money and threatening them with a knife. The assailant then fled on foot.
Officers responded and during the response on Sunday apprehended Carlyle Current, 26, of Many. After a brief investigation officers discovered he was the culprit they were looking for.
Current held two different victims up with the weapon of a needle and syringe and demanded them to hand over their money and valuables.
Current was booked at APSO on charges of aggravated assault and attempted armed robbery. His bond has been set at $30,000.
