OBERLIN – Oberlin Mayor Joseph “Moochie” Manuel said the meeting set for April 13, has been postponed at this time until further notice due to the governor’s proclamation.
On Monday, March 23, Manuel said if things changed, he would let the community know. The next scheduled meeting is Monday, May 11, and if issues associated with COVID-19 remain, the town also may have to address that meeting.
Manuel reminds residents the lobby at city hall is closed to the public. He said residents have been paying their bills by utilizing the drop box. He encouraged everyone to continue leaving messages there or paying bills. He said he is available if someone needs his assistance.
On Monday, the town work crew was dealing with a broken six-inch main waterline. At press time, the community was under a boil advisory. Manuel said it didn’t take long to fix the line which was broken by a contractor. He expected the boil advisory to last a day or two.
If the council has to meet, the mayor said all parties would be informed.
