The SWLA Center for Health Services in Oberlin has been temporarily closed until March 17.
Cari Ortego, site operations manager, said, “We are temporarily working off site at one of our sister sites (Crowley, Lake Charles, and Lafayette) and will be available by calling 337-639-2281 during our progress. “
The SWLA Center for Health Services provides quality, cost-effective and comprehensive primary health care and support services to the local communities. A non-for-profit community-based organization, incorporated in 1978, has received a 330 CHC grant from the Bureau of Primary health Care funding since 1984. The organization’s vision is to eliminate all disparities in access to health care.
Their main campus is in Lake Charles and boasts 30 examination rooms, nine dental operatories, a medical laboratory, a full service pharmacy, a WIC department, health education classrooms and one of the est equipped Fitness Centers. They serve four other parishes. The Oberlin site opened in 2014.
Ortego said patients needing assistance can call them at 337-639-2281. They will reopen on March 17.
The grand opening for the Oberlin site should be around April 16th.
