ELTON – The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana will host the 11th Annual Tribal Utility Summit at the Coushatta Casino Resort, 777 Coushatta Drive, Kinder, Louisiana on March 3-5, 2020.
The Tribal Utility Summit is held annually to provide technical support to United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) member Tribal nations who operate water and wastewater utilities. The Tribal Utility Summit serves as a venue for Tribal leaders; Tribal program staff, particularly utility managers, operators, and laboratory analysts; federal agencies; technical service providers; trade associations; vendors; and others who are interested in professional development, infrastructure investment, water resource management, and human and environmental health within Tribal communities.
The event will include educational sessions, certification testing, eligibility for CEUs or contact hours, a drinking water contest, and local field trips. There will be classroom and hands-on training sessions, and opportunities to learn about Tribal water and wastewater utilities from across the USET region. The four tracks that attendees may participate in will include Water Operators, Wastewater Operators, Certification, and Management.
