OAKDALE – Funeral services for Mr. Danny M. Mason, 77, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019, in the chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Henry Laird officiating. Interment followed in Resthaven Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Mason of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 26, 2019, in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, La.
Mr. Danny was a member of Yancy Road Baptist Church and he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dog, Sam.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Mason; his parents, Rufus and Joyce Mason; and his sister, Nancy Grantham Hargrove.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his very special friend, Barbara Musgrove, of Oakdale; his two close friends, Bobby Laird and John Campbell; one brother, Barry Mason, of Alabama; and his two sisters, Betty Rollins and her husband, Richard, of Oakdale, Brenda Tyler and her husband, Terry, of Oakdale.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are; Dalton Stalsby, Jeremy Stalsby, Hunter Willis, Joshua Thomas, Kasie Willis and Lloyd Willis, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are; Bobby Laird and John Campbell.
Friends called at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, from 2 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Visitation resumed on Monday, September 30, 2019, at 10 a.m. until time of service.
